Out of the Mouths of Clients
For most of you this might not mean much but its what I deal with everyday and will help you understand why I have no patience left. It made me remember when I started working for my first website design shop where these comments where common. It was a little place and we mainly built small 5 page websites for upstarts for less than one thousand dollars. However what I am discovering is it seems more and more clients are lacking the experience needed to help us designers understand their needs. What’s worse is as the client gets bigger you would expect it to be better but instead the ignorance never goes away and these comments become comments of professional sounding stupidity. Honestly I think its time for the designers to do some Teach The Client 101.

Wow Justin. I am so glad that you sent me this article. I know we have talked all about these different problems, but now I comprehend them much better. What a thankless job. The world just wants everything for nothing. It doesn’t appreciate change, diversity, taking risks, excitement, etc. What a boring and “ME FIRST - LETS SEE WHAT SUCKER I CAN TAKE DOWN TODAY - SOMETHING FOR NOTHING” world we live in.
